Air Source Heat Pump Summary

Ecostar air source heat pumps provide an economic and environmentally friendly heating solution of the future.
Air source heat pumps make a significant contribution to solving the problem associated with increasingly scarce and evermore expensive energy resources. Because they extract around 75% of the heating energy they produce from the air, the only running cost is the electrical energy needed to drive the compressor. Put another way, for every 1kW of energy needed to run the heat pump, up to 4kW of useful heat is produced.
The ambient air temperature can be as low as –15C in order for the heat pump to collect enough heat. As average, winter air temperatures in Ireland are around 8 oC and rarely fall below – 5C, these heat pumps are ideally suited to our climate.
